Co-Producer Tips

Co-Producer is a new plugin that listens to your track & helps you find premium, musician-made, royalty-free samples that fit right into your music.

Updated over a week ago

Whether you are filling out, finishing a track or looking for inspiration to kick start an idea, Co-Producer can speed up your process using a few different approaches:

Search with audio only for easy inspiration

Stuck in a loop? No words to describe what you’re looking for? Try searching with your audio and find some inspiration without text.

  • Have Co-Producer listen to your track, select the key, then hit ‘Find Samples’

  • Co-Producer will provide you with a list of complementary samples to choose from

Use both audio + text search to fill out or finish tracks

Remember all of those old sessions sitting on your hard drive that never got finished? Try using Co-Producer to bring some new life to old ideas.

  • Load Co-Producer on the Stereo Out track of an old session, have it listen, select a key, then hit ‘Find Samples’ to unlock some new inspiration.

  • If the track is already pretty filled out, try muting some parts to allow some space for new ideas

Search with text to start new ideas

Starting a new track? Try a text search for an instrument, mood or genre to find some samples to get the juices flowing.

  • Once you’ve got some samples in the DAW, try listening with Co-Producer to find complementary matches.

  • Keep listening and finding new matches as you build out your track

  • If you’ve found a sample you like, and want more like it, click the 3-dot menu and select “Show Similar Samples” for a list of similar samples
