How To Reinstall Arcade

If you're experiencing issues with Arcade, a clean reinstall may fix the problem.

Reinstalling Arcade will erase and remove all previously downloaded content from your system, including custom user Kits.

To back up your Arcade folder before reinstalling, please see this article

Reinstalling Arcade on macOS

  1. Delete the four (4) Arcade plugin files in each directory:
    • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Arcade.component
    • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Arcade.vst
    • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Arcade.vst3
    • /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/Arcade.aax​
  2. Delete the entire Arcade folder:
    • /Library/Application Support/Output/Arcade

Deleting the entire folder in this location is required for Arcade to be completely uninstalled. If this folder is not deleted, the uninstall is incomplete.

  1. Go to https://account.output.com
  2. Download the latest Arcade Installer.
  3. Run the installer
  4. Restart your computer

Reinstalling Arcade on Windows 10

  1. Run the uninstaller that comes bundled with the installer:
    • Settings  -> Programs and Features -> Select Arcade from the list and uninstall
  2. Delete the entire hidden folder here:

Deleting the entire folder in this location is required for Arcade to be completely uninstalled. If this folder is not deleted, the uninstall is incomplete.

  1. Go to https://account.output.com
  2. Download the latest ARCADE Installer
  3. Run the installer
  4. Restart your computer and you'll be all set!
