How To Install Expansion Packs

NOTE: Before downloading Expansion Packs please ensure you have downloaded the corresponding parent engine.

For Kontakt-based Instruments, refer to How To Install Your Instrument Using Output Hub.

For FX Engines, refer to Installing, Activating, and Updating Thermal, Portal & Movement

Kontakt Instruments:

1. Open Output Hub and sign into your Output account
2. Click the +Expansions button in the corresponding product tab
3. Click Download
4. Open Kontakt in standalone mode to scan for presets and follow the instructions below

Scanning for Presets:

1. Open your instrument and navigate to the Preset Menu by clicking on preset bar in your instrument.
2. Locate and click the 'SCAN' button on your instrument.
3. Double-click the '---SCAN---.nka' at the top of the Preset Menu.
4. After the scan, your Preset Menu will be up to date with all your factory, expansion, and user presets.

FX Engines:

Output Pro Plan Instructions

The subscription-based FX installers will include Expansion Packs. There is no need to install anything other than the individual installer for each FX (Thermal, Portal and Movement).

When new expansions are released, simply:

1. Download the latest FX installer on your account page at account.output.com
2. Close your DAW if open
3. Run the installer
4. Relaunch and enjoy your new expansions!

Perpetual License Instructions

1. Open Output Hub and sign into your Output account
2. Click the +Expansions button in the corresponding product tab
3. Click Download
4. Follow the onscreen instructions once the installer opens automatically
