This article details the alternate process for downloading and activating your Output Instruments without the Output Hub. Since our Instruments are Kontakt-based, you can complete the installation process only using Native Access. That said, if you are not having issues with Output Hub please use the primary installation method outlined here. Please be aware that installing your engine through Native Access changes the Expansion Pack installation process. For more information please see this article.
Setting up Native Access and Kontakt
Download and open Native Access.
Sign into your Native Instruments Account.
Select the All section at the top of the window.
Download Kontakt 7 Player.
This is the host software used to play our instruments.
For more information on Kontakt, please refer to What Is Kontakt and Why Do I Need It?
Activating your Instrument
Please follow these steps if you're installing and activating your Instrument for the first time. If you've previously followed these steps, simply sign in to Native Access with the Native Instruments account you used in the past, and skip to the next step.
Copy your instrument's serial code.
Your serial can be found on your Output Account page under Downloads
In the bottom left-hand side, click Add a serial
Paste your serial code and click ENTER to authenticate your instrument.
Installing your Output Instrument
Now that your instrument has been activated, it will show up within Native Access so you can move on to the final step of installing your Output Instrument.
Navigate to the "Available" tab on the top section of the Native Access window, and locate your recently registered Output Instrument from the list
Click on "Install'" and your download will begin
When you see a greyed-out "Installed" button next the Instrument name, you have successfully completed the installation process!
Congratulations!
At this point, your product is fully installed. Now open up your DAW of choice, and locate Kontakt from your list of instrument plugins, and you'll find your Output instrument in Kontakt. If you need help using the Kontakt player, check out this helpful article.
Expansion Packs
If you have also purchased expansion packs for your instruments, you can now install them without the Output Hub
Optimizing your instrument's performance
We recommend performing a Batch Re-Save to improve your instruments’ loading times.
