Re-downloading and Re-linking Arcade to your Project (Samples Missing Error)
Updated over a month ago

If you've lost your Arcade content or are collaborating with others and don't have the same content downloaded, Arcade version 2.8.0 has introduced a simplified process to re-download and relink your content on a per-project basis. This guide will walk you through the steps to ensure that your Arcade samples are correctly linked, allowing your projects to play back as intended.

Please note that this method will not work for Custom or User Samplers. For more information, please refer to the Custom Samplers and User-Imported Audio section of Arcade says "We can't find your content folder"

Instructions for Arcade 2.8.0+:

  1. Load your session with Arcade into your DAW

  2. Open a track containing Arcade - you will receive a "Samples Missing" notification

  3. Click "Download Samples"

  4. Repeat for each instance of Arcade in the project

Instructions for Arcade 2.7.0 or older:

  1. Load your session with Arcade into your DAW

  2. Open a track containing Arcade - you will receive a "Samples Missing" notification

  3. Identify the missing Sampler or Instrument, displayed at the top of the Arcade window

  4. Go to the search page 🔍 to search for and download the missing Sampler or Instrument

  5. Repeat as needed until all Samplers and Instruments on that project are downloaded

  6. Quit out of the session without saving

  7. Re-open the session. It should play back normally now

Alternative method:

If you remember the Samplers, Instruments, and/or Lines you used, you can download them in the standalone version of Arcade with your DAW closed. When you reopen your project, it should play back normally as long as all of the Samplers and Instruments have been re-downloaded by the time you open it.
